► Keeping Your Card Secure
- Treat your Card like cash.
- Keep your PIN (Personal Identification Number) secret.
- Take your ATM receipt with you. Don’t leave it at or near the ATM.
- Do not give out any information about your Card over the telephone.
- Report a lost or stolen card at once.
- Check your receipts against your monthly statement to guard against fraud.
► Security at Drive-Up ATMs
- Keep your engine running, doors locked and windows up while waiting at a drive-up ATM.
- If an ATM is obstructed from view or poorly lit, go to another ATM.
- Before rolling down the window to use the ATM, observe the entire area around the ATM.
- When possible, leave enough room between cars to allow for a quick exit.
- Minimize time spent at the ATM by having your card out ready to use.
- If anyone follows you after making an ATM transaction, go immediately to a crowded, well-lit area and call the police.
- Leave the terminal as soon as your transaction is completed.
- Cancel your transaction immediately if you see anyone or anything suspicious.
► Security at Walk-Up ATMs
- Always observe your surroundings before conducting an ATM transaction.
- If an ATM is obstructed from view or poorly lit, go to another ATM.
- When possible, take a companion along when using an ATM, especially at night.
- Minimize time spent at the ATM by having your card ready to use.
- Stand between the ATM and anyone waiting to use the terminal so that others cannot see your PIN or transaction amount.
- If you see anything suspicious, do not use that ATM. Go to another ATM.
- If anyone follows you after making an ATM transaction, go immediately to a crowded, well-lit area and call the police.

It is a good idea to let us know your travel plans and the cards you plan to use while traveling. This will allow us to process your transactions more efficiently and ensure your card will not be temporarily suspended due to unusual patterns and activity.

Before you travel outside the United States, contact us for additional security. This will allow us to process your transactions more efficiently and ensure your card will not be temporarily suspended due to unusual patterns and activity.

More Travel Tips
- Know your daily limits for both ATM withdrawals and purchases.
- Make sure your contact information is up-to-date so we can contact you quickly in case there’s suspicious activity on your account.

- If you are traveling outside of the U.S., Visa® will impose a currency exchange fee for both ATM withdrawals and purchases.
- When using a non-Hancock County Savings Bank owned ATM, you may be charged a fee from the owners of the ATM
