Top talker

John Carlin is the IT System Administrator of Hancock County Savings Bank and has been with the Technology department for almost 2 years.

John recently attended a meeting of The Beaver Toastmasters in Beaver, Pennsylvania and was recognized for his top response during a portion of the gathering.

According to the official website, Toastmasters International is a US headquartered nonprofit educational organization that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of promoting communication and public speaking skills. The organization meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month.

At every meeting a Table-Topics Master conducts a special segment titled Table-Topics. During this portion, a topic of discussion is selected for the participants to talk over and all those in attendance then vote on who they believe to have provided the best response.

At the recent meeting John, a newer member of the group, was selected the winner among a diverse crowd of attendees, including some who have been part of the organization for a few years.

Congratulations on this recognition, John!  HCSB is proud of you!
