Here at Hancock County Savings Bank we’ve started off 2020 with the introduction of an exciting new product. We are happy to announce that we now offer Mobile Deposit!
What is mobile deposit, you may ask? It is the ability to deposit checks into your account by simply taking a picture of the check with your smartphone. This means that you can now deposit checks right at home or while you are out and about. No need to stop by the bank.
NO ENROLLMENT NECESSARY! All you have to do is download HCSB’s Mobile App and then select the mobile deposit option and you are ready to go.
Here are just a few helpful hints to ensure your check is properly deposited:
Before logging into the Mobile app, close all other apps running in the background of your mobile phone
Endorse all items with your name(s) and “For HCSB Mobile Deposit Only” on the back of all checks prior to attempting to deposit through Mobile Remote Deposit.
Take the photos of your check in a well-lit area.
Place the check on a solid dark background before taking a photo of it.
Keep your phone flat and steady above the check when taking your photos.
Make sure the entire check image is visible and in focus before submitting your deposit.
Check to see that all four corners are visible, and there are no shadows across the check.
Make sure the numbers on the bottom of the check are readable.
It is also important to keep in mind that the daily dollar limit and the per item limit are both $1,500 and at this time you are only able to deposit into your checking accounts.
