Mark Miller Music Project

One of Team Mojo Foundation’s most rewarding programs is the Mark Miller Music Project. Originally known as the Free Music Lessons Project, it was renamed in memory of the late Mark J. Miller, a guitar instructor who impacted many young students and was deeply devoted to the program. Through the Mark Miller Music Project, Team Mojo assists school-aged students interested in music with the cost of weekly lessons in guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, voice and more, and also helps with the cost of band instrument rentals. The annual cost of a weekly music lesson can exceed $700, something that isn’t in the budget for a lot of local families, even more so if more than one child is interested in lessons. The music lessons program has produced many success stories, giving budding young musicians structure and something to focus on as they strive to improve their music skills. The Mark Miller Music Project would not be possible without generous sponsors like longtime patron Hancock County Savings Bank’s Charitable Foundation. Team Mojo Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit serving underprivileged K-12 children in the local Tri-State area.
