Easter Weekend Evokes Many Emotions


Whether you are planning on attending the Weirton Easter Egg Hunt at the Millsop Community Center (we at Hancock County Savings Bank are proud sponsors), or planning to take in the holiday on a more quiet and thought-provoking note, Easter weekend is a special weekend for those of all ages.

First, the Weirton Easter Egg Hunt at the Millsop Community Center; It will be complete with the Easter bunny, bounce houses, prizes and food.  Local businesses like HCSBank have pitched in to help pay for the event, planned by Weirton Parks.  It’s set for 11am this Saturday, April 20, 2019.  Below is a photo of Weirton HCSBank Branch Manager Deidra Edwards and Catherine Ferrari, HCSBank CEO/President.  They are standing with Cody Shingle, Weirton Parks Executive Director and Chris Krishak, Parks Program Director.  (Photo courtesy of the Weirton Daily Times)

Meantime, Christians around the world, and here at home, are commemorating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Some of the ceremonies associated with this time are joyful celebrations.  Others reflect a more somber tone.

Whatever your plans this weekend, be safe and remember, we will close at 4pm on Good Friday.
