Allison Elementary School Earns Major Honor

Congratulations to our friends at A.T. Allison Elementary School in Chester on earning National Blue Ribbon recognition as an Exemplary High Performing School. Allison is one of only three schools in West Virginia to earn this honor. As quoted by The Review newspaper, Superintendent Tim Woodward explained the importance of the award to Allison Elementary students. “In the United States there are over 99,000 elementary schools, that’s a lot,” Woodward said. “Your school has been named of the top 349 schools in the United States. You’ve also been named one of the top three schools out of over 700 schools in West Virginia, and because you’ve done that, you’ve been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School.”   So our friends have a lot to celebrate at Allison and we want them to know we are standing right there with them cheering from our offices in Chester, Weirton and New Cumberland.
