The Hancock County Savings Bank Charitable Foundation has been in existence for twenty one years. The foundation continues to remain strong and is pleased to be able to continue giving grants to the organizations that work hard to make a difference in our community.
To date, a total of $902,589 has been donated to over 160 different local service and support organizations. The 2020 awards total $35,000.
Catherine Ferrari, Bank President and CEO and Chairman of the Foundation Board of Directors stated,
“We thank everyone who submitted applications, and we commend them for the work that they do to support the needs of our communities every day.” Ferrari added that the work of the Charitable Foundation is in line with the mission of Hancock County Savings Bank, which in part states the Bank’s commitment to making “our community a better place to live.”
Serving as the Foundation Board of Directors are Chairman Catherine Ferrari, President Steve Cooper, Treasurer Alicia Davis, Secretary Anthony Bernardi, George Ash, Romie Castelli, Cheryl Schreiber, Marvin Six, Doug Comm, and Drew Cooper. All of the Board members are volunteers.
President of the Charitable Foundation Board Steve Cooper has retired as president of the board after 21 years of service. He was awarded an official proclamation and a donation was made in his name to the East Liverpool Community Partnership for Revitalization.
The recipients of the awards will be notified individually this year in lieu of an awards ceremony in an effort to follow state and local guidelines regarding gatherings due to Covid-19.
The next round of Grant applications must be submitted by September 30, 2021.
